Helen Aboah, CEO
In addition to her current role as CEO of UZIT, Helen is also the CEO of Urban Zen, a design vision and philosophy company created by Donna Karan that defines the space where creativity, culture, and collaboration converge with retail, technology, wellness/healthcare, and social impact. Helen oversees the brand’s operations including the Urban Zen Collection and artisanal partnerships; Urban Zen retail stores; Urban Zen Center; and the Urban Zen Foundation.
Helen’s cross-industry career spans fashion, hospitality, health and wellness and entertainment, with a deep foundation in the global luxury goods market across wholesale and retail (digital and physical channels).
Previously, Helen was a member of the executive team at the global luxury brand LVMH/Donna Karan International, where she was an early adopter of the increasingly important role technology played in the industry. As one of the first executives to embrace and adapt with new tech, Helen’s brands were able to maintain and excel in the marketplace, helping to future-proof the company’s position. She moved on to Alexander Wang, where her interest and involvement in technology deepened as she partnered on the in-house rebuild of the brand’s e-commerce site. Now, as CEO of Urban Zen, Helen combines her past and present experience to seamlessly integrate and connect industries — retail, healthcare, philanthropic organizations, etc.
Andrew Pyo, COO
Prior to UZIT, Andrew was the Interim-COO of CamberView Partners, which advises public companies on investor-related issues. In this role, he provided strategic support to the CEO, Board of Directors and Executive Committee on firm-wide initiatives. He managed the firm’s offices day-to-day operations and real estate, external IT services, market data providers and other vendor relationships. In 2018, PJT Partners acquired CamberView. Andrew was a member of the transition team responsible for the integration of these two organizations.
Previously, Andrew worked in the Executive Office of Deutsche Bank Americas, supporting the Americas CEO. He focused on regional internal strategy, client relationship management, and business development in North and South America. He began his career at A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics-Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics from Columbia University.
